We encourage them to travel, read fashion magazines and newsletters, attend international markets and work closely with our craftsmen. We are in constant contact with the finest weavers and purveyors of cloth in the world to bring the freshest and most exclusive looks. This is time consuming and expensive, but it is our identity. And, by the way, we love it! It’s why the Vanguard showroom is the envy of the industry and a must-visit stop for every serious interior designer and highend retailer. We attract visitors from 25+ countries every market. We are one of the only showrooms to offer hundreds of swatches of the latest fabrics to take home immediately. We need to make sure you are provided the tools and knowledge you need to be this expert. Fresh fabrics are obvious, but many fashionable ideas are nuanced. Look for details like French seaming or variations of dressmaker skirts. Most of our hardware— the jewelry on the case— is designed exclusively for us by our talented team of internal and celebrity designers. Look especially at our legs on both case and upholstered pieces. These are the unique and subtle differences that make all the difference. Because at the end of the day, it is the quality of the materials, design and personal service that differentiates us and serves to reconcile the premium price-point between the commodity and the extraordinary. Creating furniture fashion is among the most noble of professions. We think of fashion elements as tools and you as our collaborators.
